OK, so I said I was going to update at the end of that week and now it has been over a month.  But, I promised Ashley I would update so here is my latest and greatest thoughts for the day.

I was so proud of our youth tonight.  The boldness I saw in them as they canvassed the streets of our community was amazing to me.  God is stretching us more and more everyday and I know that one day we are going to see a harvest like never before.  The 5th quarter we are having this Fiday is going to be so much fun and I am praying that we have a great turn out.  Hopefully it doesn't rain during the game.  It is going to be a mess if everyone shows up cold and wet.

The girls are almost done with soccer.  Rachel and Leah are really enjoying it and they have both scored at least one goal.  Hailey on the other hand isn't so sure soccer is going to be for her.  We'll have to see.  She talks about it all the time and she even gets super excited on game days.  However, when she gets out on the field she turns into this crazy monster who wants to make all the parents and her teammates laugh.  Then when the ball actually gets close to her she runs away from it or just sticks out her foot and hopes the ball will make contact with it.  It can be quite commical, but when the whole team is like this, it gets a little frustrating.  I can't imagine being the coaches.  There kid isn't like that though.  He's about the only one who has scored any goals the entire season.  Thank goodness they don't keep score at this age.

Basketball starts soon for the girls. Rachel and Leah both want to play this yer.  I think Steve and I are going to coach if they need caoches.  We had a lot of fun watching Rachel play last year and we both agreed that we would probably enjoy coaching a lot too.  So, we'll see if that pans out or not.

I can't think of anything else right now.  Please pray for Steve and I. We have been trying to sell our little house over in East Dayton for several years now.  It is sitting empty right now and the burden of two house payments is beginning to pay it's toll on us.  Pray that it will sell quickly and that God's hand would be upon it.  It was such a blessing to us during our first few years of marriage, but over the last few years it has become more of a curse.  Pray that God will send a buyer soon.  We don't want to rent it out anymore if we can help it.  It would just be better all together if we could sell it completely.  There are other things I could ask you to pray about, but I won't get in to all of it right now.  I know that God is in control and I will praise him through the storm!!!

Good night and I love you all!

I'm Back!

I know!  I know!  I know!  It's only been 5 months or so since I updated last.  Sorry.  To say I had a busy summer would be an understatement.  But, I got to spend lots of time with people I love and we were all over the country.  I won't bore you with any details, but I will say that God blessed us tremendously this summer with all of our traveling ventures.

I will try to do better about updating this time.    Leave me a comment!  I'll write more later this week!

OK, so I don't have a lot of time to update right now, but I did want to make a few announcements.  First, I am totally pumped that Blizzard is only 5 days away!  We are going to have a great time and God is totally going to change our lives!!!  The really cool part is that we are doing our human video to the Kutless song on Friday night at Blizzard!!!  I am so excited!  The teenagers do such an awesome job in this drama and I know God is going to use them in a powerful way!  What an amazing opportunity we have to do this in front of 800 other people.  YEP, that's right I said eight HUNDRED!  Lord help us as we pracitce tomorrow and use us to do your will!  We are ready for a fresh touch and we are ready to be used by YOU!

Second thing...UR120 Youth, don't forget tomorrow is Uber Sunday.  Not sure where we are going to go for lunch yet, but make sure you have money to eat and your Bible for your class.  I am so proud of you guys and the way you are responding to the discipleship program.  It's ALL for Him and He is going to bless us for our obedience.  He already has blessed us...you are part of our group.

Third thing...God is in CONTROL!  I just had to declare that!  There are so many times that the enemy has tried to convince us that things are spinning out of control and that people are going to fail us and that we are going to fail ourselves.  You know what?!? God is in CONTROL!!  People are going to fail us, we are going ot fail in ourselves, but one thing remains true...HE will NEVER fail us.  Help us Lord to remain focused and not look at the things other people are doing in order to discourage us.  We are ready to see everything you have for us and everything you want to teach us.

So, I better go.  I am going to my mom's house for some fun girly time ("big girl" time, no kids ).  We are going to do some stamping and I am really excited.  My friend Yalonda is going with me so it is going to be good good times.  Then tonight we are having some friends over for dinner.  A busy day, but a wonderful day.  (The girls are completely zonked out right now.  They were at the church last night for a sleep over and Rachel and Hailey didn't fall asleep until like 4 or 5.  Then Rachel had to play her last basketball game this morning at 8:30.  Needless to say, they fought the nap, but within 4 seconds they were out.  Leah gets to go to a birthday party today for her friend Julia.  They are going to a gymnastics gym so Leah is completely pumped.  Well, actually, she is asleep right now   but she was really excited before she fell asleep.)  OK, I really need to go.  I love ya and I love comments!

Here's a "Would You Rather?"

Would You Rather...

1. Have a booger stuck to the end of your nose

OR

2. Have toilet paper hanging from the back of your pants?

Think about it!

Good Morning!  It's Sunday!  It's another day for God to reveal something new to me and help win the "battle."  If yopu don't remember, I am reading the book "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meier.  It is such a powerful book!  She is an amazingly annointed woman of God and yet she has struggled with the exact same things I struggle with!  It gives me such hope!!!  I never realized she was spirit-filled until I was reading last night.  She was talking about how important it is for our mind to be completely connected to our spirit so we can then be completely intune with the Holy Spirit.  She said that's why it's important for us to pray in our "heavenly tongue" because it gets our spirit lined up with His Spirit and then our mind can hear and understand the things He is trying to tell us or teach us about His heart and mind.  Does that make sense?  Of course she words it in a way that is much easier to understand than how I just put it, but it was a huge revelation to me last night.  I am slowly but surely starting to see how God is going to break the chains in my mind and completely set me free!!  Hallelujah!!  I love you Lord!

Well, I better go.  I am off to take Buckeye to the groomer's.  We made him an early appointment for this morning so we could pick him up after church.  He is getting so big!  BUT he still thinks he can climb on my lap and snuggle like he did when he weighed 30 pounds.  He's up to about 55 now!  It's like having a horse try to climb on you.  Anyway, I will update later I'm sure because I am expecting God to move powerfully in our service this morning just like He has been the last few weeks.  Last week was absolutely amazing and I know there is more to come. FREEDOM in Jesus Name!!

OK! OK! OK!  I know...it's about time I updated.  I really have been getting on here a few days a week reading everyone elses sites, but I just haven't had time to write my own.  So, here I am, tired as can be, and typing away on this computer.  I can guarantee this is not going to be the most spiritual, emotional, inspirationl, or interesting entry.  However, it is an update nontheless.

I have been really busy.  I had 3 different assignments due for my UD class last Sunday night, we went bowling with the youth after church Sunday night, Rachel has had basketball games and practices, Leah has gymnastics on Wed., UR120 youth night on Wed., our Waffle House fundraiser was Thursday night, etc. etc. etc.  I really could go on, but I won't bore you with all of the details.

Tonight, however, was a great night.  Steve and I took the girls to dinner.  Then we all went shopping at Family Christian, Barnes and Noble, and Target.  We bought a really fun game at Target and then we came home.  We all got our jammies on and went down to the family room to play our new game.  It's called Hullabaloo and it is a really cute action/listening game.  The girls loved it and by the end we were all 5 laughing and falling all over the place.  Good Good Times!!!  I love my family sooooooo much!  They are my JOY!

UR120 - Don't forget that tomorrow night is the WAVE Service at OBC.  We are meeting at the church at 5:00 or you can meet us at OBC.  The service starts at 6:00 but we are going to get there a little early to hang out with everyone for a little while.  Any questions, call us on our cells tomorrow because Rachel has a game.

Well, I better get off here.  I bought a book tonight (actually Steve got it for me ) and I think I might go read it a little before I go to bed.  It's called "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer.  I have heard really good things about it and I am looking forward to winning this battle in my mind.  I was reading a family friend's entry (Sarah Ballard, Jessica's friends she lives with in OK) and her entry said exactly what I have been struggling with lately.  The enemy knows that if he can mess with my mind and the way I think about myself or about my situations, he can do a lot of damage in my life.  Just pray that I will have a breakthrough soon!

UR 120 Youth - I am looking forward to the WAVE service tomorrow night and to Blizzard in a few weeks.  It is going to be awesome. I know God has been moving in our Wed. night services in order to prepare us for the wonderful things to come.  PRESS IN!  Just like Jimmy saw in his vision...the "Winter" has past and "Springtime" is coming!!!  HALLELUJAH!!!  I love you all and I LOVE getting your comments!!!  Have a great weekend!
